Bio

Monica first practiced yoga at the age of 17 when she discovered she was type 1 diabetic. But it wasn’t until after a painful loss that she found her “yogic tribe” while living in Surrey in the UK. Deeply drawn to the Vinyasa Yoga practice, two years later, in 2011, Monica took her first teacher training in Slovenia – and never looked back. Currently Monica studies regularly with Venkatesh at the Atmavikasa Center of Yogic Science in Mysore, where, under the care of this traditional Indian teacher, she develops her practice of asana, pranayama, kriyas, meditation, and dealing with all sorts of pain. Her love of Vinyasa also led her to train with Jason Crandell, so that her teaching today is a blend of dynamic creativity, traditional practice, and modern yoga. Combining sharp wit and dedication to practice, Monica has the knack of inspiring students to reach their full potential.

Always a student, Monica’s practice has broadened into Yin and in 2023 she will complete a year-long training in Meditation with Andrea Boni.
